Transport
Juneau is served by Alaska Airlines with flights that originate in Seattle, Washington and Anchorage, Alaska.
Although Juneau is not directly connected to the North American road system, it can be reached by ferry from Bellingham, Washington, Prince Rupert, British Columbia, and Skagway or Haines, Alaska.
During the summer, Juneau is also served by cruise lines that depart from Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, British Columbia (e.g., www.alaskacruises.com).
Alternatively, you can travel overland. This will involve a trek across the 45-mile wide Juneau ice sheet, an ascent to the ice field from the Cassiar Highway in Canada and then a descent down one of the local glaciers!
