Brisbane 2012
The 2012 World Conference on Natural Resource Modeling will be held in Brisbane, Australia, 9-12 July 2012.
The conference theme will be "Natural resource modeling".

RMA Special Session at Joint Mathematics Meeting January 2012
The RMA will hold a Special Session on Mathematics in Natural Resources at the Joint Mathematics Meeting in Boston MA on January 4 and 5, 2012.
To celebrate the 25th volume of our journal, Natural Resource Modeling, we have organized a special session of 26 outstanding speakers to discuss modeling in natural resources. The Joint Mathematics Meeting, held in Boston MA, expects to welcome over 6,000 mathematicians to the Hynes Convention Center during the first week in January.
We hope that you will consider joining us for this important event! Registration is required (please see the links below). The sessions will be held in the Simmons Room in the Marriott Copley Place at 110 Huntington Ave, which is connected to the Hynes Convention Center. There will be a reception on Wednesday night to launch the 25th volume of NRM.

The RMA is pleased to announce the following additions to the RMA board:
President: Keith Criddle
Keith is Stevens Professor of Marine Policy in the University of Alaska Fairbanks School of Fisheries and Ocean Science. He is currently in his second term on the RMA board and hosted the 2009 World Conference on Natural Resource Modeling in Juneau, AK.
Director: John Hearne
John is Head of School for Mathematics and Geospatial Sciences at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He is a former president of the RMA and he hosted both the world conference in South Africa and the one in Melbourne, Australia.
